The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a standardized test, usually taken after 16 years of education to gain admission to business schools around the world for mostly MBA programs, including Pakistan. GMAT in Pakistan, or anywhere else, evaluates a student’s capacity to assess and analyze textual material, use problem-solving strategies, and exercise critical thinking.

Pakistani Students’ Eligibility for the GMAT:
- There is no upper age limit for taking the GMAT in Pakistan; however, the student taking the test must have completed their 16th year of education.
- Students who are under the age of 18 must submit a consent letter from their parents or legal guardians to take the GMAT exam.
- Students must take the GMAT exam to enroll in an MBA program, thus they must also have a bachelor’s degree from an approved institution.
GMAT Fee Structure and Registration:
The GMAT test has a $250 registration fee. It is available for registration all year long. When you’re ready to take the GMAT, either register online at the official mba.com website or visit the nearest GMAT test center of your location and submit the registration form.
The cost to change the GMAT exam date is an extra $50.
GMAT Registration Process
Students going to take the test are required to create an account on the GMAT official website (mba.com), for registration, test scheduling, and accessing the scores.
GMAT Score:
The GMAT in Pakistan ranges from 200 to 800 overall. The average test-taker score falls between 200 and 800. Depending on the test administrators, the test score evaluation may differ.
Number of GMAT Attempts:
A year may only have a maximum of five GMAT tries. This test may be taken five times a year by Pakistani students, however, the dates must be 16 days apart.

The GMAT score validity is about five years
Duration of Exam:
The duration of the GMAT test in Pakistan has been reduced from 4 hours to 3.5 hours. This also includes break times. During the GMAT examination, the Pakistani student may take two breaks. They are allowed after one hour of the exam. The duration of the breaks is about 8 minutes. The first break comes after the Analytical section and the second comes after the Quantitative section.
